Packaging design incorporates a signature pattern meant to evoke the appearance of the cell images the instrument produces, with the system's capability to detect cell borders and the RNA or protein analytes within each cell.

Project Description:

Branding system for the NanoString 2022 Global Commercial Meeting. The branding system incorporated galactic imagery, meant to play off the meeting's theme of emerging spatial technologies, and constellations to evoke the dot patterns commonly used in transcriptomics. The theme was carried through into various pieces of branding, including team pins and custom banner stands for the product showcase.

A two story tall video display wall (nicknamed 'The Cube') at Queensland University of technology. Display was designed to include two independent video projections above on either side, as well as 20 mutli-touch displays below showcasing the 'Spatial Organ Atlas'.

Branding for the launch of the CosMx SMI instrument, playing off the idea of exploring spatial biology and the instrument's RNA and protein readouts, which give the appearance of stars. This imagery was used across a wide range of promotional materials- everything from print materials like column wraps, zap stands, and flyers, through to digital assets such as social campaigns and email graphics.

Project Description:

Branding imagery for the 'Be the First to See' campaign to introduce the GeoMx DSP instrument. Imagery played off the idea of geolocation pins, highlighting the instrument's capability to detect different concentrations of genes in various places on the same tissue sample. Variations of this imagery were used across social graphics, flyers, and promotional materials like heat changing mugs and lenticular posters.

Project Description:

In 2016, SOG Knives & Tools introduced a line of back packs for a range of activities; For these items, a tag design was required that organized dozens of call-outs and key features in a quick and easily identifiable manner, encapsulated in a unified design that preserved the same overall aesthetic across a variety of bag sizes and feature sets. I was tasked with designing everything about these tags, from layout, to custom iconography, all the way through to overseeing final production.

The binary tree is an already familiar symbol in the field of software engineering, and the color purple was used as an accent color to help differentiate the brand from competitors (as well as subtly invoking royalty).

Project Description:

The SOG Elite Entrenching Tool required a box that was exposed (so the product could be handled) but also secure to deter theft (using heavy duty zip ties and a security tag hidden behind a false back). The finalized packaging design included an additional compartment to house the carrying sheath, and was made out of one large folded piece of cardboard to simplify and expedite the production process.

I’ve produced a wide range of advertising content for publications such as Men’s Health, Blade Magazine, Knives Illustrated, Maxim, Men’s Journal, Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, and Esquire. This particular series was designed to promote three additions to the SOG line for 2016- 30th anniversary products, new multi-tools (in tailored ads for both tactical and outdoor demographics), and a new line of back packs. I was personally responsible for developing this entire series, from initial storyboarding all the way through to finalizing a unified layout across the entire campaign.

Project Description:

'Prom Dress Rugby' is an annual fundraiser played between the Seattle Quake men's rugby team and the Seattle Breakers women's rugby team. Each team dresses in prom attire normally reserved for the opposite sex, for the amusement of the crowd. In order to tap into the fun and playful atmosphere of the event, I chose to create a poster using the idea of paper dolls with unconventional clothing options. The poster design was also completely reversible, to give each team prominence depending on how it was displayed.
